PDH MAIN ENTRANCE:

  • All visitors to the hospital are required to wear a mask during their visit.
  • Standard face masks continue to be mandated for children aged 8 and above.
  • It is now not required for visitors to QR Code check or undergo a health screening before entering the health service.

ACUTE & SUB ACUTE WARDS:

Our visiting hours to each ward are: 

8.00 am  – 8.00 pm each 

2 visitors per patient at any time.

Where possible, we ask you to consider using your phones to call, FaceTime or text message patients as a form of communication to limit in-person visits.

HARBOURSIDE LODGE (HSL) residential aged care:

Our residential aged care facility has flexible visiting arrangements.

Ideal times for visitors are between 8.00am – 8.00pm, if you wish to visit outside these time please contact HSL management.

There are currently Covid restrictions in place through Department of Health that include numbers of visitors per day for each resident.  At present the number is 2 visitors per day per resident.

Visiting Requirement:  All visitors to Harbourside Lodge must have a negative Rapid Antigen tests (RAT) before entry.  Rapid Antigen Tests are available at the entrance to Harbourside Lodge – assistance is available at the entrance during the usual visiting hours between 8.00am – 8.00pm.

Food & Drinks

Water
Filtered water is available in the Accident and Emergency foyer and there is a drink dispensing machine in Portland District Health’s main foyer.

Snack or Meals
For visitors seeking a snack or meal, JJ’s Kiosk is located on the ground floor, near the main entrance. The manager, Jill, offers a range of hot and cold food, selected from a menu which features ‘green’ or healthier choices (they have important nutrients and limited fat/added sugar).  The kiosk is open between 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Visit Jill to place your order, or call her extension on 10317 (or 5521 0317).

If you are staying with a loved one for an extended period of time, please ask a member of staff about accessing hot meals from our Catering Department. Meals can be ordered between 11am and 3.00pm. These meals are the same as the inpatient options, for lunch (12.00pm) and dinner (5.00pm) each day. The meals marked with a heart are suitable for the public (ie. they are healthy options for ‘well people’). Some inpatient meals may not be suitable for people who aren’t in hospital.

Payments

1. Hospital accounts excluding Medical Imaging

Portland District Health has various ways of paying invoices. Cash, Cheque, Eftpos or Credit Card.

These can all be used at our Main Reception, located at the Fern Street, Portland, entrance.

Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm

Payments for Hospital accounts including Medical Imaging (xray) can be made over the phone (03) 5521 0333, (9)

Direct deposits can be made into our account, you can find our account details on the Tax Invoice.


2. Medical Imaging (Xray / Radiology)

Accounts for this department can be paid at Medical Imaging reception, located within our health service.

Monday – Friday: 8.15am – 4.45pm

We accept payment by cheque, cash, eftpos and credit card.

Payments can also be made over the phone  by calling on (03) 5521 0320.
