PDH strategic plan consultation dates set

Portland district residents can now have their say about the future direction of Portland District Health.

Community consultation times and locations have been set for October 5 and 6 and a survey is also open for people to make comments.

Strategic Plan Consultant Claire Edwards from TAG Health will be leading the engagement process on behalf of PDH.

Face-to-face consultations will provide opportunity for community members to engage in person, through meet ups and workshops.

On Wednesday October 5 Ms Edwards will be available for casual conversations from 11.30am-1.30pm at the Amcal Pharmacy and there will be a community meeting and workshop at the Fawthrop Centre from 6.30-8pm.

On Thursday October 6 there will be a business breakfast forum and discussion at Lido Larder from 7.30am-8.30am and opportunities for more community conversations at the Safeway entrance from 10.30am-noon.

Residents can also complete a survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PDHcommunity

The face-to-face consultations will enable discussion on the findings from the survey and interview processes and contribute to recommendations for inclusion into the PDH strategic plan

The community engagement will conclude on October 7.

Ms Edwards encouraged local residents to participate and help to shape the future of their health services.

The purpose of the PDH Strategic Plan is to demonstrate how PDH will ensure that it is able to meet the health needs of the communities it serves, the approaches it will develop with key partners to address the population health needs for the catchment population, its contribution towards system-wide goals, including addressing specific performance and policy priorities set by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments
