ATAGI have updated their advice on the AstraZeneca vaccine. Pfizer is now the preferred vaccine for people aged 16 to under 60 years.
People of any age who have had their first dose of AstraZeneca without any serious adverse events should continue to receive their second dose.
Adults aged between 18 years and 60 years of age may also choose to have the AstraZeneca vaccine, but will need to go through a consent process at the clinic.
Note the recommended interval between your 1st and 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine has changed to 6 weeks.
