Education Clinical Support Nurse

This fixed-term part-time position is available immediately, for 12 months with option of ongoing, for a suitable applicant

This position is 48 hours per fortnight negotiable.

The Clinical Support role provides an opportunity for an experienced clinician with a passion and enthusiasm for educating new and existing staff, and creating professional development opportunities to support all levels of learning within the workforce.

This clinical support role will include operating as a key resource for supporting learners at all levels.  This role will be working closely with all managers and staff to design, implement and review organisation education and training programs, represent education on current committees, support audits and outcomes measure and input around ongoing learning management content.

The clinical nurse educator will bring enthusiasm for supporting learners, including students, graduates and existing staff.  This role demonstrates a strong commitment to developing the capability of the existing and future workforce that identifies with key learning needs aligned with Portland District Health priorities and core business.

You will practice according to the standards prescribed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian Professional Code and Guidelines and within scope of practice

The successful applicant will:

  • Currently registered as Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and experience

  • Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
