Surgery
The Operating Suite provides surgical services Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm for elective procedures, with 24/7 emergency surgery availability. Perioperative services encompass general surgery, laparoscopic techniques, orthopaedic surgery, urology, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, plastic surgery (non-cosmetic), dental and facio-maxillary procedures, and endoscopy.
At the Pre-Admission Clinic patients can discuss their surgery with a nurse to address any concerns they may have. The Day Procedure Unit handles pre- and post-operative care for patients not requiring an overnight stay.
After a general anaesthetic or intravenous sedation, patients must arrange transportation with a support person and have a carer present for 24 hours post-procedure.
